PITCH TO PUBLISHER - TRAVIS MYATT (PARALLEL ENTERTAINMENT)
Date/Time

Travis grew up in Small Town, Missouri, USA and always had a passion for music. At the age of 19 he packed up and moved to Orlando, FL to attend Full Sail University and study Recording Arts. After achieving his Bachelors Degree he moved to Music City to chase his dream of making great records. A year into interning for various studios, including Loud Studios headed up by James Stroud, he realized his true talent lie in working with people. He landed an internship at Sony Tree Studios where he ran mail and did every odd job under the sun. After a cyclical rendition of ‘musical chairs’ and persistent requests of Troy Tomlinson - he landed a spot on the Sony/ATV Music Publishing creative team as Media Library Coordinator. Four years into growing his roots at Sony/ATV, he received an offer from Tim Hunze to step into the Creative Director role at Parallel Entertainment where he currently manages their revered roster of songwriters and their catalogs.

He mainly works in Country music but is a true fan of all genres.

He is looking for songs that move him. He generally works off of feel in the beginning and circles back to catch the story. Lyrically they need to be intriguing, often with twists, unexpected perspectives, and about subjects everyone can relate to.

He has only been at Parallel for a few months, but has already signed his first writer, Michael Lotten, and taken on his first management client, George Shingleton.
