A native Texan, Liz Rose has been a constant NSAI supporter and voice in the community. She has done workshops and played shows to benefit the organization. She began writing songs after moving to Nashville and saw one of her first successes with Gary Allan’s “Songs About Rain.” In 2006, Liz began writing with Taylor Swift and was named SESAC’s Songwriter of the Year in 2007 having co-penned 2 of Taylor’s singles that year, “Tim McGraw” and “Teardrops On My Guitar.” She saw further success with Taylor Swift with the singles “White Horse” and “You Belong With Me”. Most recently, Liz celebrated honors as a co-writer on NSAI and CMA’s Song of the Year, “Girl Crush”, which also won a Grammy for Song of the Year.
