About Ramona
Entertainment attorney Ramona P. DeSalvo will discuss “Protecting Your Songs.” Ms. DeSalvo specializes in copyright and entertainment law at DeSalvo & Levine PLLC in Nashville, Tennessee. In late 2011 she joined the faculty at Nashville School of Law where she teaches Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law. Previously she was an assistant professor in Middle Tennessee State University’s Recording Industry Department where she taught Copyright and Legal Issues in the Recording Industry. Ms. DeSalvo earned her bachelor’s degree at U.C. Berkeley and her J.D. from University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1980. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Ohio and California, the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, and the Southern District of Ohio. After practicing for years on Music Row, she joined a Nashville firm, handling complex copyright litigation (In Re Napster, Bridgeport Music Litigation and F.B.T. Productions/Eight Mile Style v. Aftermath). She is a member of NARAS, Copyright Society of the South, Nashville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, California Bar Association, National Association of Music Publishers, Country Music Hall of Fame Troubadour Society, and Music Row Administrators.
