Morning Pitch with Rachel Wein (Prescription Songs) | In-Person Only

If you are a member and would like to attend and simply observe, you are more than welcome!


HOW TO PARTICIPATE: 

Up to 50 members can participate and will be played in order of arrival - Members traveling greater than 75 miles or 2 hours from Davidson County will be given priority to participate.*

Bring an MP3 version of your song that you can easily play from your phone, along with two lyric sheets for the song you chose. (Cassette tapes will not be accepted.)

We will play the first verse and first chorus of each song and the guest will "pass" or "take a copy".

Song submission must be the original work of the Songwriter without use of any artificial intelligence, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, or be otherwise contrary to applicable laws and regulations.


ARRIVAL INFO:

If you arrive earlier than 10:15 am, please join the line on our covered porch on the Roy Acuff side of building. Once doors open you will sign in and submit your lyrics sheets of the song you chose, to the receptionist for the event.

*ATTENTION OUT-OF-TOWN MEMBERS:

Members traveling greater than 75 miles or 2 hours from Davidson County are considered "out-of-town". You must be in the Priority Line prior to the time that doors open at 5:15pm. If you arrive after 5:15pm, you will be asked to join the end of the "Nashville/Local Line". At that point, there is no guarantee that you will be able to participate. 

You must be an active NSAI member to participate.

TIME: Doors will open at 10:15am CT / Event will begin at 11:00am CT

 PARKING:

Limited parking will be available in the NSAI parking lot.

Additional parking is available on the street and in neighboring paid lots.


 GUEST ATTENDEES:

NSAI non-members are permitted to observe two workshops prior to joining to experience what NSAI is about. After attending two workshops, you will need to join as a member to fully benefit from membership and to attend future events.

ABOUT RACHEL WEIN: 

After graduating from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Special Education, Rachel decided to apply her skillset to a new medium; writer/producer/artist development in music publishing. Racheljoined Prescription Songs in 2017 as the first hire in their Nashville office, focused on supporting emerging talent outside of the traditional Country music space. Since then, Rachel has cultivated an eclectic roster with clients based everywhere from Oklahoma to Nigeria. She has been instrumental in signing and developing talents such as Maddie Zahm, Greyson Chance, Spellz, JORDY, Parson James, Morgan Nagler, Carobae, James Droll, Tim Gent, Bryant Taylorr, Jon Santana, Megan Redmond and more.  

 

Rachel’s passion is anchored in a long-term commitment to community building, education, and non-profit work. Wein was recently tapped to join the steering committee for Belmont University’s Center for Mental Health in Entertainment, as well as advisory boards for Family Alliance in Music and Salt Lick Incubator. She is an active member of The Recording Academy (Class of 2022), the Association of Independent Music Publishers and The Other Nashville Society. Outside of music, Rachel was elected to be a part of the Cystic Fibrosis 30 Under 30 Class of 2023 and was honored with the Marchetti Impact Award for her successful fundraising efforts. She also serves as a mentor through Youth Villages - a program for at risk youth in the foster care system.
