Date/Time

Missy Roberts moved to Nashville in 2004 after attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where she majored in Marketing and Music Business. After an internship in marketing at Sony Records, she was hired by the A & R department as assistant to industry vet Tracy Gershon.
Roberts started in publishing later that year at Island Bound Music, running the office, exploiting the expansive catalog and handling day to day management of Sony artist Crystal Shawanda and Dreamworks Records artist Gary Nichols. From there she moved to Disney Music Publishing where she helped start the Nashville office.
Since then, Roberts has held posts at Stage Three Music, EMI Music Publishing and currently serves as Senior Creative Director at Universal Music Publishing Group, Nashville. It is there that she represents the vast UMPG catalog, as well as songwriters Mark Nesler, Jimmy Robbins, Chris Lindsey, Broken Bow recording artist Jackie Lee, Jamie Paulin, Mary Steenburgen, Eric Arjes and artist Justin Adams.
Throughout her career, Roberts has had the honor of working with many of Nashville’s top hit makers, as well as new and emerging artists. She has placed songs with such artists as Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Gary Allan, Rascal Flatts, Josh Turner, Frankie Ballard and several others.
