About Janine Appleton
Originally From Warrensburg, MO, Janine graduated from Belmont University earning a degree in Music Business in May of 2007. Upon graduation, she began part-time for a newly founded Publishing Company, THiS Music, as Creative Manager. THiS Music was founded my General Manager/Owner Rusty Gaston, and partners (and songwriters) Tim Nichols (Live Like You Were Dying) and Connie Harrington (I Drive Your Truck). She was promoted to Creative Director and to full-time Status within the first few years.The company grew from three writers to it’s now 13- stemming Nine #1 Country Hit’s including, ‘Honeybee’ and ‘All About Tonight’ (Blake Shelton), ‘All Over Me’ (Josh Turner), Anywhere With You (Jake Owen), I Don’t Want This Night To End (Luke Bryan), It Goes Like This (Thomas Rhett) and recently the CMA song of the Year, ‘I Drive Your Truck’ (Lee Brice).After seven years with THiS Music, Janine was offered the opportunity to become the Creative Director (Country/Pop) for Word Entertainment. In her new role, Janine is expanding the primarily Christian Music Company into the Country genre, signing Country Songwriters and essentially building a Country division of WORD Publishing- something that has never been done before within this company. Janine loves Songwriters, Artists and more importantly, getting great songs cut.
