In December 2015, Thompson came on board as Creative Director at Banner Music which allows him to song plug in pursuit of the perfect chemistry between music and artist.
Thompson’s exposure to the art of song plugging began four years after originally joining Music Mill Entertainment as a staff writer in 2009. Throughout his time at MME, Thompson acquired two cuts from Nashville’s Next Superstar winner, Matt Mason (“We Come Alive” and “The Creek”) as well as a single from indie artist, Johnny T (“Everything About You”), which played over 300,000 times on Pandora and was in frequent rotation on Sirius XM The Highway. It was at MME where Thompson met fellow Banner Music songwriter, Alex Dooley, with whom over 100 songs have been put to paper. In 2013, Thompson took on his current profession as a creative director for MME before establishing with Banner Music.
Besides the responsibilities Thompson acquires with a business mindset, he still embraces his creative abilities as a songwriter on the Banner Music roster, with whom he feels have conjoined a quality team of Music Row veterans along with new, hungry talent.
