Four Members Added to Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) Board of Directors
Nashville, Tenn. — April 7, 2025 — The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) recently concluded its Board of Director elections and today held the first meeting of the new Board term which begins each year with the April meeting.

The general election resulted in new board members Deric Ruttan, Lydia Vaughan and Dan Wilson joining for a first term, Jimmy Yeary re-joining the Board and eight current board members re-elected to two-year terms: Kelly Archer, Jessie Jo Dillon, David Hodges, Lee Thomas Miller, Tim Nichols, Josh Osborne, Troy Verges and Parker Welling.
Roger Brown was re-appointed to a one-year term as “Legislative Chair,” Rhett Akins and Caitlyn Smith were re-appointed to one-year terms to the “Artist Writer” board positions and Brett James was re-appointed to a one-year term to the “Industry Liaison” position.
They join existing board members Trannie Anderson, Steve Bogard, Chris DeStefano, J.T. Harding, Byron Hill, Josh Kear, Jamie Moore, Jon Nite, Liz Rose, Jenn Schott and Emily Shackelton whose terms expire in 2026.
Officers for the next year include Lee Thomas Miller - President, Jenn Schott - Vice President, Roger Brown - Legislative Chair, Brett James - Industry Liaison, Tim Nichols - Sgt.-at-Arms, Byron Hill - Secretary and Steve Bogard - Treasurer.
NSAI Board elections happen in two phases and include voting by the NSAI Professional Songwriter Membership and appointments by the NSAI Board of Directors.
