Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting on February 25. We spent time discussing how we each come up with melodies for our songs, and as expected there were many different methods: chords first, melody first then chords, or just coming with tunes in our heads. It was interesting to hear everyone's take. We watched several short videos dealing with creating memorable tunes. There were 5 songs submitted for evaluation, each one unique and enjoyable. Please remember to let us know about any topics you would like covered, and please fill out the general interest and skills form we sent out a few weeks ago. Our March meeting topic is still being discussed - alternate tunings for a guitar, delving into the songwriting method of a known artist, or something else! Hope to see you then.
