The Indianapolis, IN chapter will have guest speaker Charles "J.R." Ryder on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 from 12:30 to 2:30 on zoom. The topic of discussion will be what Publishers look for in today's market and then we will have a Q&A. R." Ryder has a strong love for music. He concentrates on touching the lives of others through his work as a music publisher, songwriter, author, speaker, and producer. J.R. spent 18 years as the producer and co-host of Religion in the News, a faith-based weekly television program on a CBS affiliate. He worked as a DJ for over a decade before becoming a professional songwriter. His music publishing company, Holiday Season Songs, focuses on positive Christmas and holiday songs that accentuate the spirit of the season .J.R. Ryder served two years as President of Forerunner Records and sat on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Songwriters Association. He has authored several books about music which have made a difference in the lives of young adults, adolescents, and parents around the world. J.R. Ryder completed his undergraduate education at Indiana University as a Telecommunication and Broadcast Journalism major with a music minor. He also earned a degree in Ministerial Studies from Indiana Christian University.
