2:00 PM Performance: 1:00 PM Arrival for Performers; 1:30 PM Arrival for Guests (To grab a seat and purchase beverages/snacks)
$10 Cover Charge for Non-Performers (All proceeds to The Carrot/Arts on the Ave)
Please Note: This is a private event; guests will be added to a list and let in at the door.
Performers are NSAI members only with the possibility of an invited guest writer or 2 joining in for 1 song should time allow. (If you are not yet a member and would like a guaranteed opportunity to perform in this and future rounds, plus the many other membership benefits that NSAI offers, it is a simple process to join. If you would like to attend in the audience that's great too!)
If you are interested in performing please reply to this message as soon as possible. Let us know how many original songs you would be comfortable performing. (For reference, there were 4 of us in the inaugural round; 2 of us did 5 songs/2 did 4 songs) It is perfectly fine to let us know if you just feel comfortable doing a song or 2; we can work around it. And, if you would prefer to come out and just get a feel for what it's all about, that's great too. We will do our best to make sure those traveling the farthest have the option of doing several songs. ALSO: I will be bringing my keyboard (88 key); please let me know if you would like to use it. Also, if you don't accompany yourself/prefer to have one accompanist it is fine. Please let us know. If you are a non-performing songwriter and have someone that you would like to perform your original songs, let us know as well.
Any promotion you can do for the event, family/friends/fans that can come out are greatly appreciated. (We will provide a promo that can be shared on social media/printed.) And, if you have merch to sell, promotional items, etc. we will accommodate that. There will be an intermission for mingling, replenishing beverages, etc.
