January 21, 2025 (Nashville, Tenn.) – The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) has announced the newest recipient of the annual Todd Givens Memorial Scholarship, singer-songwriter Brittany Moore.

Moore, originally hailing from Northwest Arkansas, began songwriting around the age of 15 and she relocated to Nashville in 2018 to pursue the career path further. She joined NSAI her first year in town, and her songwriting talents have continued to grow over the past six years.

NSAI has witnessed and championed Moore’s unfiltered honesty as she often fearlessly explores overlooked topics such as diet culture and mental health. Her heartfelt storytelling resonates with fans around the world and has led to multiple viral songs on social media, a feature of the Bobby Bones show, and a fully crowdfunded EP project set to release this year.

I couldn’t think of a more deserving songwriter for us to recognize with this Todd Givens Scholarship than Brittany,” said Bart Herbison, Executive Director of NSAI. “Todd was a beloved friend and staff member of NSAI, and an avid supporter of songwriters with the spirit that Brittany embodies. I personally choose the recipient of this honor every year with Todd in mind, and I know that he would have been a huge fan of her talents.

Scholarship recipients receive a complimentary NSAI membership, the ability to attend a premium NSAI educational event, and dedicated attention from the NSAI creative team throughout the year to assist them in navigating their career goals.

Moore will formally receive this honor during the annual “NSAI Member Awards” to be held at 3rd & Lindsley Nashville on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 as part of NSAI’s Tin Pan South week in Nashville, Tennessee.
