Haley Powers is a Guitar player and blogger based in Nashville, TN. She focuses on helping guitarists and musicians use their unique gifts and qualities to connect with others through music and help them reach their full music potential. She currently teaches group guitar seminars weekly in Nashville, plays guitar for various artists, and blogs and uses social media to encourage others on toward their music goals! In this workshop we focused on how you can grow your Instagram presence and use it to find new opportunities and create meaningful connections with people in music! In a year, Haley was able to organically grow her Instagram from 0 to 25k followers and is now getting up to 70,000 views on the guitar videos she creates and posts. Through Instagram, she has been able to get various gigs and sponsorships, along with free gear/guitars from companies like Fender, Ernie Ball, Orangewood Guitars, and Reverb.com. She was recently asked to speak at the National Worship Leader Conference and has been invited to the NAMM show as a social media influencer — all because of the connections she made on Instagram!
