Amanda Flynn Phillips grew up in the small town of Smiths Grove, Kentucky. Named after the Bob McDill penned classic "Amanda" (Waylon's version), her love for songwriting and music began from the very beginning. After moving to Nashville in 2008, she signed her first publishing deal with Leslie Dipiero and Victoria Shaw, achieving success with song placements in film/TV, radio, and album cuts - including co-writing Chase Rice's "Jack Daniels & Jesus," which later went on to be the name of his headlining tour. Later, she signed publishing deals with Sony ATV and Wide-Open Music Group - where she embraced a dual role as a songwriter and Creative Director.
She continues to apply her creativity and talents toward nurturing and cultivating connection and collaboration within the creative community in her current role as the Director of Chapters with NSAI, championing and advocating for emerging talents, seasoned Music Row veterans, and every dreamer in between.
