The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) Nashville Songwriter Awards, presented by City National Bank, will return to the Ryman Auditorium on September 17, 2019. Loretta Lynn, the reigning queen of country music, will receive the organization's highest honor, the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award. There to honor her grandmother by singing one of Lynn's biggest hits will be her granddaughter, Tayla Lynn.

Tayla Lynn, who has her own successful career as an independent singer/songwriter and continues the family legacy with a dynamite touring show in tribute to their grandparents Conway and Loretta with Conway's grandson, Tre Twitty, is thrilled to represent her grandmother at the awards show by singing one of her most well known songs, "Coalminer's Daughter". Lynn commented, "I embrace Memaw in my career and I spend a lot of my time singing her songs. I do everything I can to carry on her legacy in a joyful, respectful, honorable way, and to make her fans proud. I am beyond honored that I was asked to stand on stage at the Ryman and honor her with her friends and colleagues as she receives the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award from NSAI."

Loretta Lynn, upon learning that her granddaughter would be singing for her, commented, "Thank you honey for doing my shows. I'm proud of you and Tayla, you're good at it. Nobody else has our connection. Go out there and show them what you're made of."
